First Experience, Land in Wakatobi

At 11:30 am we finally arrived at the airport Matahora, Wakatobi. In the afternoon, we go directly to the care TBAL Tonang bang for distributing donations of children ‘s story books. Largely the result of donations from kindergarten and elementary Binus International School Serpong, partly the result of individual donations from friends of the Academy Sharing (Akber) and Jalan Semarang Fellow. The children were very enthusiastic to receive the story books.

According Tonang bang story , reading interest children in rural South Mola is very low, because there is no reading children’s books .Their daily activities besides school is playing in the sea, because most of their parents’ livelihood as a fisherman. Beginning of concern for the children, then bang Tonang took the initiative to create a reading garden, supported TBAL.

By maximizing all that can be done in the middle of its limitations , bang Tonang gathered wood and bamboo , then made a bale – bale and bookshelves . Simple TBs then stood up straight in front of her house. The whole story of children’s books, toys, stationery and supporting tools shipped from Jakarta TBAL center since last year. Children are free to visit.

The event was attended by 150 books division of the children , tutors , volunteers , and parents . The inauguration was attended by the Chairman of the Wakatobi TBAL Stump (local organizations) . In the afternoon , we played with the children while reading a book of stories that just they get. According to bang Tonang , the children here are already impatiently waiting for us to share the story books . They look happy and enthusiastic .

Tonang Pammajere , whose real name Darsono was born on October 19, 1971 in the village of Mola , Wangi Wangi South . Blooded Bajo and Bugis , the main livelihood of men who worked in the marine engine repair shop to have the hope that her two children are named Hegel (7 years) and Geral (3 years) to smart kids and have a better fate than his parents .

Not just be a laborer or fishing alone , bang Tonang also very concerned about the environment . He was diligent in collecting garbage in the ocean , because it did not want the beauty of the sea is polluted. He had teased by his friends for picking up trash , no job unexpectedly . But in the end even friends come clean up the beach and sea , making it cleaner .

With a strong desire to foster interest in reading his children , then made ​​a bee Children ‘s Reading Garden. In accordance with its name , which means Pamajere chaser , bang Tonang with persistent pursuit of his ideals , made ​​his children smart and useful to the nation .
