150 Bajo children gathered and read a book together
Wangi-wangi, Wakatobi, Sulawesi Tenggara, 15 Juni 2012 – TBAL today gathered together 150 children in the village of Mola Bajo South to inaugurate TBAL presence in the community . Follow the shape of the stage a la the Bajo , TBAL standing on an open stage measuring 3.5 m x 4m and is equipped with bookshelves – both are made from a combination of wood and bamboo .
Donate children’s story books to villages has been going on since 2011 . Kind of books are given focused and colored picture story for children aged 3-12 years . The composition of a given book is 80 % and 20 % of new books old books are still good quality . Giving this book is at the core of TBAL mission , namely to build children’s interest in reading at an early age , in a way that is fun and conducive environment for the children to read while learning and playing .
Such mechanisms across the region TBAL ( East Lombok , Central Lombok , the island of Seram , and Ambon) , Wakatobi TBAL open for children who want to read books as much , at no charge . The book can be read at the site but can not be borrowed or taken home , to ensure that each book can be used and read by anyone.
At the inauguration ceremony , also attended by the parents , particularly the mother , and was inaugurated by Vera Makki Makki and Vandy ( Founder TBAL ) , Mr. Tonang Pammajere ( Patrons and business TBAL ) , Rismadhani ( Fighting Bees ) , Mr. Abdul Gafur ( Chairman Stump – Bajo community organizations in rural South Mola ) and the tutor .
Distribution of children’s story books this time is the result of the program ” One Book One Brother ” raised for 3 months from February 2012 to April 2012 through social media Twitter and Facebook .
” One Book One Brother ” invites every man to donate children’s books to be given to less fortunate children in the 9 point spread TBAL in remote eastern Indonesia . Taking the concept of pen pals , each contributor invited to tuck a positive message and a passion for books recipient . When the book received and read, it has been established brotherhood between the giver and the recipient . With one book , interwoven one fraternity . The spirit of togetherness is promoted by TBAL with hashtag # < / em > SatuBukuSatuSaudara on Twitter .
More than 1000 people participated in this social mission . School Binus International School Serpong , Tangerang , managed to invite all children kindergarten and elementary school students to donate books to collect 1200 books , where as many as 320 books allocated to Wakatobi . At the individual level , book donations came from various cities , among others, Greater Jakarta , Semarang , Yogyakarta , Makassar , Malang , and Surabaya . The total book that had been given to TBAL Wakatobi reach about 300 titles of books , a total of 400 books . Most donated to every child , in part to Wakatobi TBAL collection .
With the TBAL Wakatobi , expected Bajo children , mostly fishermen child , can have a great interest in reading and makes reading books as part of the daily habits fun .
The book is a window to the world and a means to broaden their horizons , develop ideas and creativity , helping children to think systematically , encouraging them to love to explore , and strengthen the character of children to grow up smart , energetic and confident .
