Tonight I am happy. Precisely dated March 22, 2012, the first time I set foot in Lombok. Things that drive me here is a mission of @ lebahbooks through a program called # SatuBukuSatuSaudara. Yes, this is the first delivery of a portion of the proceeds donated # SatuBukuSatuSaudara books to children in remote Lombok from a variety of Early Childhood Education (ECD) as a partner of Children’s Reading Garden Bee (TBAL).

The next day I was with ya @ vera_makki, ya @ poetrisoehendro, mas @ fahmivalen the photographer, Mr. Usman (ECD manager of Al-Mujahideen) and bu Mukanah (Trustees TBAL) visiting Al-Falaah ECD located in East Lombok. ECD is located on the edge of rice fields, can only be traversed by foot. Not only early childhood, Al-Falaah also have a place for IHC, Parenting room, and kindergarten. Our arrival of early childhood education as an invitation to Mr. Azro’i, manager of the ECD, which felt the activities of these children will be more complete if it supported children’s story book, so invite TBAL to partner.

Upon arrival, I was shocked by the conditions of early childhood, where buildings, classrooms, teachers and the “situation” there looks like a school / kindergarten professionals. Whereas early childhood AL-Falaah was formed from the self. It turns out that all of this thanks to the spirit of caring and persistence of local people who want to eradicate illiteracy in the neighborhood / region. “May the Children’s Reading Garden Bee is pleased to also distribute books to our children, so that the insights and creativity of children is growing,” said Pak Azro’i.

After visiting early childhood AL-Falaah, we continued our journey to the coast Labuan Haji. There already collected 150 children from 7 ECD combination of Eastern and Central Lombok. Unfortunately the children from early childhood and Rambitan Istiqomah Jaya could not attend because of the distance is too far. They represented the tutors and managers who symbolically receive books from donors. Around 9 am, Ms. @ poetrisoehendro begin storytelling. The children were mesmerized by the story told by Ms. Princess to not feel the time approached Friday prayers.

Then the show continued with the distribution of donated books # SatuBukuSatuSaudara. Throughout the campaign # SatuBukuSatuSaudara echoed through social media since early March, collected 150 books, most with a little note from the sender inserted in the story books.

Expression amazement appeared on the children’s faces when reading the letter / note tucked inside books they receive. They never received a letter before and do not understand very well why there are friends from different cities in such a way that cares for them.

Happily, when the slowly-slowly began to explain, they later changed to mimic the expression of delight when showing off a letter / note it to their friends and read it out loud (of course with a whisper of tutors, most of them can not read). They promised to read and store books and well grateful to the brothers and sisters who have been kind enough to give them a story book. The end of our afternoon activities filled with excitement. Although the weather was scorching hot, but did not reduce the morale of teachers and principals, as well as the joy of the children.

Thank you sis @ poetrisoehendro, mas Fahmi, mother Mukanah, pack and pack Az’roi Usman who have helped to implementation of activities with children from early childhood AL-Mujahideen, Assajari, Jasmine, trustful, and AL-Fallah (minus ECD Istiqomah and Rambitan Jaya). Here are the photos of activities and delivery of donations SatuBukuSatuSaudara batch # 1.
